Service Description
Inspired by Ezra Jack Keats’ classic The Snowy Day, this lesson has students creating an expressive mixed-media winter portrait. First students cut out a symmetrical hood using the included template and colored paper and then draw a facial expression with rosy cheeks. Sewing yarn to create hood strings is optional. Next, students mix custom skin tones for the face and paint the sky, watching magic unfold as their oil pastel snowflakes create a resist. A 3D snowball made from a coffee filter is added to finish the project, incorporating form and playful dimension while capturing the story’s wintry charm.
Cancellation Policy
Booking Policy for Art Lessons: 1 No show is allowed per family. After that accommodations WILL NOT be made for a make-up session. Refund will not be issued if paid out of pocket or if paid by Charter, school will be billed for a no-show. Let me know if your child is unable to make it at least one day prior. 1 session may be rescheduled per month per family. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off. Booking Policy for Face Painting: Things happen I understand! I need at least 3 hours' notice if you are canceling the day of. *PLEASE DO NOT BOOK or CANCEL as soon as possible if a guest may potentially bring alcoholic beverages, I can refer you to someone else. I will not face paint in an environment that is not suitable for children, music that contains cursing, violence ect. is not appropriate for a child's event. The deposit IS NOT refundable in the event that I have to leave for alcoholic beverages being available for guests or for music being played that is not appropriate for children at the event. It is a JOY to work with families who put children first! Thank you!
