Service Description
Introduction to Crochet: Overview of crochet tools and materials (crochet hooks, yarn, stitch markers, etc.) Understanding different types of yarn and their uses Basics of reading crochet patterns and charts Essential Stitches: Slip stitch Chain stitch Single crochet Half double crochet Double crochet Treble crochet Increasing and Decreasing: Understanding and practicing increasing stitches (e.g., single crochet increase, double crochet increase) Learning and implementing decreasing stitches (e.g., single crochet decrease, double crochet decrease) Shaping Techniques: Creating basic shapes (e.g., circles, squares) Increasing and decreasing within a shape to create curves and angles Pattern Reading and Stitch Combinations: Learning to decipher crochet patterns and abbreviations Practicing different stitch combinations (e.g., clusters, shells, bobbles) Joining Techniques: Joining crochet motifs or squares together Seaming and weaving in ends for a clean finish
Cancellation Policy
Booking Policy for Art or Spanish Lessons: Bookings close 24 hours prior to class scheduled time and date for prep purposes. Class is 1 hour with 15 minutes to transition to the next class. 1 No show is allowed per family. After that, accommodations WILL NOT be made for a make-up session. A Refund will not be issued if paid out of pocket or if paid by Charter, school will be billed for a no-show. If your child is unable to attend let me know at least one day prior. 1 session may be rescheduled per month per family. ALL artists are entitled to a peaceful art/Spanish session. Toddlers are welcome to wait with their parents in the waiting area only. Toddlers MAY NOT wander the classroom. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off. Thank you for your support. -Susie Booking Policy for Face Painting: Things happen I understand! I need at least 3 hours' notice if you are canceling the day of. *PLEASE DO NOT BOOK or CANCEL as soon as possible if a guest may potentially bring alcoholic beverages, I can refer you to someone else. I will not face paint in an environment that is not suitable for children, music that contains cursing, violence ect. is not appropriate for a child's event. The deposit IS NOT refundable in the event that I have to leave for alcoholic beverages being available for guests or for music being played that is not appropriate for children at the event. It is a JOY to work with families who put children first! Thank you!
